- All A.A. Groups in Western Kentucky are encouraged to name an Intergroup Representative to express their group’s view points and desires at the quarterly Intergroup meetings. Financial support of the Intergroup is purely voluntary and is not required from any group to have a representative and a vote.
- At the December meeting year, the Intergroup elects a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Chairpersons fo P.I., C.P.C., Corrections and Treatment Facilities and Committees.
- The Intergroup Representatives authorize the Officers and Committee Chairpersons to interview and appoint an Intergroup Manager/Coordinator who is an A.A. member with at least two years of continuous sobriety.
By choosing its most qualified man or woman as IGR, a group helps secure its own future – and the future of A.A. as a whole.
